ZoomInfo exports contact lists as CSV files from Contact Search. This template maps the export to Freshsales' standard contact fields: names, job title, email, company, and the person's office address. ZoomInfo's Contact Search export ships one person phone column, Direct Phone, plus a Company HQ Phone; Freshsales contacts have two phone fields, so the Mobile Number field stays empty and the Work Number field takes the first available of the two. Phones are standardized, emails are lowercased, and country names are normalized. Mobile phone, intent, and scoop columns are tier-gated and not part of this template's expected column set. Company-level data like Industry and Company Revenue belongs on the Freshsales Sales Account record and is listed in the Columns we don't use section.

Columns we don't use
Your ZoomInfo export includes 26 columns this template doesn't map. Each one below explains why, plus the workaround if you want the data in Freshsales.
- Salutation
Freshsales contacts have no native salutation field.
If you need it. Create a custom contact field in Freshsales called Salutation, then map it by hand.
- Job Function, Management Level, Department
Freshsales contacts have no native fields for job function, seniority, or department.
If you need it. Create custom contact fields in Freshsales for Job Function, Management Level, and Department, then map them by hand.
- Email Domain
Freshsales contacts have no native field for the email domain on its own. The domain is already part of the email address.
If you need it. None needed. The domain is already part of the Email Address this template maps.
- Company HQ Phone
Freshsales contacts have two phone fields. ZoomInfo's Contact Search export ships no mobile phone column, so the Mobile Number field stays empty and the Work Number field is filled from Direct Phone, then Company HQ Phone.
If you need it. Store the HQ phone on the matched Freshsales Sales Account, or map a custom contact field by hand.
- LinkedIn Contact Profile URL, LinkedIn Company Profile URL
Freshsales contacts have no native LinkedIn field.
If you need it. Create a custom URL field on the Freshsales contact called LinkedIn, then map the contact profile column to it by hand.
- Website, Industry, SIC Code, NAICS Code, Company Employees, Company Revenue, Company Founded Year, Company Type, Stock Ticker, Company Description
These are company-level data points. Freshsales stores firmographics on the Sales Account record, not the Contact.
If you need it. Enrich the matched Freshsales Sales Account record after import using ZoomInfo's company data, or add custom contact fields if you need the values on the contact itself.
- Company HQ Address, Company HQ City, Company HQ State, Company HQ Zip, Company HQ Country
Freshsales contacts have one address block, which this template fills from ZoomInfo's Person address. The HQ address is a second address and there is no native place for it on the contact.
If you need it. Land the HQ address on the matched Freshsales Sales Account record in a separate pass if you need it.
- Company Fax
Freshsales contacts have no native fax field, and ZoomInfo's Company Fax column is aging and mostly empty.
If you need it. None needed. This column is safe to ignore.
- Last Updated, Source
Freshsales contacts have no native fields for when ZoomInfo last refreshed the record or the constant Source value. Source is the literal 'ZoomInfo' on every row.
If you need it. Filter your ZoomInfo export on Last Updated before uploading, or map either column by hand to a custom contact field.
Formatting and cleanup
ZoomInfo exports rarely match the format Freshsales expects. Fix these before you import.
- 1.Lowercases and trims email addresses
- 2.Standardizes phone numbers to international format (+1, +44, etc.)
- 3.Fills the Work Number field with the first available work number, checking Direct Phone, then Company HQ Phone
- 4.Maps ZoomInfo's Person address columns to Freshsales' address, city, state, zipcode, and country fields
- 5.Title-cases name fields, including ZoomInfo's ALL-CAPS job titles
- 6.Normalizes country names to a standard form
- 7.Trims whitespace and removes blank rows

How does the template handle ZoomInfo's phone columns?

Will this create duplicates?
Freshsales deduplicates contacts on email by default. Rows with matching emails update the existing contact, and new emails create new contacts.
Where do company-level fields like Industry and Company Revenue go?
They live on the Freshsales Sales Account record in Freshsales' data model, not on the Contact. After import, enrich the matched Sales Account using ZoomInfo's company data, either manually or with a separate Operelio job that targets the Sales Account record.
Why isn't LinkedIn Contact Profile URL mapped?
Freshsales Contacts have no native LinkedIn field. The Columns we don't use section has the custom-field workaround.
What if my ZoomInfo export has different columns?
ZoomInfo's column set varies by tier. This template expects the standard Contact Search column set. Tier-gated columns like Mobile Phone, Intent, and Scoops are not in the expected set, so the import won't reject rows when they're absent. If your export has extra columns, map them by hand in the column mapper.
