How to import LinkedIn Connections data into Monday.com
When you download your LinkedIn data, you get a Connections.csv file. This template maps the export onto a Monday.com contact board: First Name and Last Name are combined into Monday.com's single Name column, email and company map directly, and the job title goes to the Notes column since Monday.com boards have no default title column. Emails are lowercased and name fields are title-cased. One thing to know before you start: LinkedIn only includes the email of a connection who turned on email sharing, typically 10 to 30 percent of rows, so most rows land on the board without an email. The LinkedIn URL and the Connected On date have no native Monday.com column; the Columns we don't use section covers each one.
Field-by-field mapping
This is the complete column mapping from LinkedIn Connections to Monday.com. The left column is the header in your CSV export. The right column is the Monday.com field it should map to.
| First Name + Last Name | Name* Monday.com uses a single Name column on the item, so the template combines the two columns with a space between them. TransformFirst Name and Last Name combined with a space | |
| Email Address | Email LinkedIn only includes the email of a connection who turned on email sharing, typically 10 to 30 percent of rows. Blank rows still land on the board without an email. TransformLowercased and trimmed | |

| Position | Notes Monday.com's default contact board has no job-title column. Position maps to the Notes column so the job title carries over to the board item. |

Columns we don't use
Your LinkedIn Connections export includes 2 columns this template doesn't map. Each one below explains why, plus the workaround if you want the data in Monday.com.
- URL
Monday.com's default contact board has no native LinkedIn column.
If you need it. Add a Link column to your Monday.com board called LinkedIn, then map this column to it by hand in the column mapper.
- Connected On
Monday.com's default contact board has no native column for the date a LinkedIn connection was made.
If you need it. Add a Date column to your Monday.com board called LinkedIn Connected On, then map this column to it by hand in the column mapper.

LinkedIn Connections to Monday.com FAQ
How do I export my LinkedIn connections?
Go to LinkedIn Settings, click Data Privacy, then Get a copy of your data, request the Connections archive, and download the Connections.csv file when it's ready.
Why do you combine First Name and Last Name?
Monday.com items have a single Name column, not separate first and last name columns. The template combines the two columns with a space so each item displays correctly on the board.
Why are most email addresses blank?
LinkedIn only includes the email of a connection who turned on email sharing in their privacy settings, typically 10 to 30 percent of rows. Connections without a shared email still land on the board, they just won't have an email until you add one. Dedupe on the LinkedIn URL rather than email if you import more than one export, since email is too sparse to match on.
How does Monday.com handle duplicates on import?
Monday.com boards don't deduplicate on import. Every row in your CSV creates a new item. Run a deduplication pass on your CSV before uploading if you want to avoid duplicate items on the board, and dedupe on the LinkedIn URL since most rows have no email.
What happens to the LinkedIn URL and the connection date?
Neither has a native column on Monday.com's default contact board, so the template leaves URL and Connected On unmapped. The Columns we don't use section below shows you how to add a column and map each one if you need them.
Where do I import the CSV into Monday.com?
Open your contacts board, click the + at the top-right, choose Import from spreadsheet, and upload the file Operelio produces. The import wizard matches the column headers to your board columns.
