How to import Cognism data into Monday.com
Cognism exports prospect lists as CSV files from Prospector. This template maps the export to Monday.com's default contact board: it combines First Name and Last Name into Monday's single Name column, and maps email and company. Cognism ships four phone columns; Monday's default board has one Phone column, so Mobile, Direct, Office, and HQ are combined and the first available number wins, with Mobile, including Cognism's Diamond-verified mobiles, taking priority. Monday's default contact board is lean, so the job title, the company firmographics, and the address are listed in the Columns we don't use section.

Cognism to Monday.com FAQ
How do I export from Cognism?
In Cognism Prospector, build your search, save the contacts to a list, then click Download CSV from the list view. Upload that CSV to Operelio.
Why do you combine First Name and Last Name?
Monday.com items have a single Name column, not separate first and last name columns. The template combines the two Cognism columns with a space so each item displays correctly on the board.
How does the template handle Cognism's four phone columns?
Cognism ships Mobile, Direct, Office, and HQ. Monday's default contact board has one Phone column, so the template fills it with the first available number, checking Mobile first, then Direct, then Office, then HQ. Cognism's Diamond-verified mobiles come through in the Mobile column, so they win when present. All numbers are standardized to international format before import.
Why aren't the job title and the other Cognism columns mapped?
Monday.com's default contact board is lean: Name, Email, Phone, Company, Status, Notes. Job Title, Seniority, the address, and the company firmographics have no native column. The Columns we don't use section above explains how to add a column and map each one by hand.
How does Monday.com handle duplicates on import?
Monday.com boards don't deduplicate on import. Every row in your CSV creates a new item on the board. Run a deduplication pass on your CSV before uploading if you want to avoid duplicate items.
Where do I import the CSV into Monday.com?
Open your contacts board, click the + at the top-right, choose 'Import from spreadsheet', and upload the file Operelio produces. The import wizard matches the column headers to your board columns.
Which address does the template use?
Monday.com's default contact board has columns for Country, City, and State, and this template fills them from Cognism's person-level columns. Those describe where the contact actually is. Cognism also ships two company-level addresses (the registered office and the HQ); both are listed in the Columns we don't use section because they belong on a company-level board, not the contact board.
