How to import HubSpot data into Pipedrive
Move your HubSpot contacts to Pipedrive. The template combines First Name and Last Name into Pipedrive's single Name field, matches Company Name to an organization, and maps email, phone, and job title. Pipedrive uses a leaner contact model than HubSpot, so a few HubSpot columns don't have a Pipedrive home. The section below lists them and what to do about each one.
Field-by-field mapping
This is the complete column mapping from HubSpot to Pipedrive. The left column is the header in your CSV export. The right column is the Pipedrive field it should map to.
| First Name + Last Name | Name*name Pipedrive uses a single Name field, so we combine the two columns into one. TransformFirst Name and Last Name combined with a space | |

| Phone Number | Phonephone TransformStandardized to international format (+1, +44, etc.) | |
| Company Name | Organizationorg_name Matched to an existing Pipedrive organization, or a new one is created. | |
| Job Title | Job Titlejob_title |

Columns we don't use
Your HubSpot export includes 8 columns this template doesn't map. Each one below explains why, plus the workaround if you want the data in Pipedrive.
- Street Address, City, State/Region, Postal Code, Country/Region
Pipedrive contacts don't store address fields by default. Addresses live on organizations.
If you need it. If you need the address on the contact, add custom address fields in Pipedrive and re-run this template. Otherwise let the organization address handle it.
- Website URL
Pipedrive contacts don't have a default website field.
If you need it. Add a custom URL field on the Pipedrive contact called Website, then re-run this template to map it.
- Lifecycle Stage
Pipedrive doesn't have an equivalent to HubSpot's lifecycle stage model.
If you need it. Use Pipedrive's contact labels or a custom single-select field called Lifecycle to recreate the stages you care about, then map this column to the new field on a second run.
- Lead Status
Pipedrive doesn't have a contact-level lead status field; pipeline stages on deals are the equivalent concept.
If you need it. Map Lead Status to a custom field on the contact, or recreate the values as stages in a Pipedrive sales pipeline and link a deal per contact.
Formatting and cleanup
HubSpot exports rarely match the format Pipedrive expects. Fix these before you import.
- 1.Combines First Name and Last Name into Pipedrive's single Name field
- 2.Lowercases and trims email addresses
- 3.Standardizes phone numbers to international format (+1, +44, etc.)
- 4.Matches Company Name to an existing Pipedrive organization, or creates a new one
Or skip the manual work
Operelio runs this cleanup and mapping for you. Upload your HubSpot export and download a clean, import-ready file for Pipedrive.
HubSpot to Pipedrive FAQ
How do I export my HubSpot contacts?
In HubSpot, go to Contacts, click the Actions menu, choose Export, select 'All properties' and CSV format, then download. HubSpot will email you the file when it's ready.
Why does this template combine First Name and Last Name?
Pipedrive contacts use a single Name field, not separate first/last. We combine the two columns with a space so your contact records look right in Pipedrive.
What happens to company information?
Company names match against existing Pipedrive organizations. If no match exists, the template creates a new organization and links the contact to it.
What about address, website, and lifecycle stage?
None of these map to default Pipedrive contact properties. See 'Columns we don't use' below for how to handle each one.
What about HubSpot deals and pipeline data?
This template handles contact records only. Deals, companies, and pipeline stages require separate exports and a different import process in Pipedrive.
Will this create duplicates in Pipedrive?
Pipedrive's import dedupes on Name plus one of email, phone, or organization. A migrated HubSpot contact matches an existing Pipedrive contact only when the Name combination is identical and either the email, phone, or organization aligns. Name matching is whitespace-sensitive, so review your Pipedrive import settings if you need fuzzier matching.
