How to import ZoomInfo data into Pipedrive
ZoomInfo exports contact lists as CSV files from Contact Search. This template maps the export to Pipedrive's standard contact fields: First Name and Last Name are combined into Pipedrive's single Name field, the company is matched to an organization, and email and job title map directly. ZoomInfo's Contact Search export ships one person phone column, Direct Phone, plus a Company HQ Phone; Pipedrive contacts have one phone field, so the two are combined and the first available number wins. Phones are standardized and emails are lowercased before import. Pipedrive's contact model is leaner than HubSpot or Salesforce, so most ZoomInfo columns belong on the organization or have no native home; the Columns we don't use section covers each one.
Field-by-field mapping
This is the complete column mapping from ZoomInfo to Pipedrive. The left column is the header in your CSV export. The right column is the Pipedrive field it should map to.
| First Name → Last Name | Name*name Pipedrive uses a single Name field, so First Name and Last Name are combined into one with a space between them. TransformFirst Name and Last Name combined with a space | |
| Email Address | Emailemail TransformLowercased and trimmed | |
| Job Title | Job Titlejob_title | |
| Company Name | Organizationorg_name Matched to an existing Pipedrive organization, or a new one is created. | |
| Direct Phone → Company HQ Phone | Phonephone Pipedrive contacts have one phone field. Direct Phone and Company HQ Phone are combined into Phone, taking the first available number in that order. TransformStandardized to international format (+1, +44, etc.) |

Columns we don't use
Your ZoomInfo export includes 31 columns this template doesn't map. Each one below explains why, plus the workaround if you want the data in Pipedrive.
- Salutation
Pipedrive contacts have no native salutation field.
If you need it. Add a custom contact field in Pipedrive for Salutation, then map it by hand.
- Job Function, Management Level, Department
Pipedrive contacts have no native fields for job function, seniority, or department.
If you need it. Add custom contact fields in Pipedrive for Job Function, Management Level, and Department, then map them by hand.
- Email Domain
Pipedrive contacts have no native field for the email domain on its own. The domain is already part of the email address.
If you need it. None needed. The domain is already part of the Email Address this template maps.
- Company HQ Phone
Pipedrive contacts have one phone field, which this template fills from Direct Phone, then Company HQ Phone. The HQ number is a company switchboard number anyway.
If you need it. Add a custom field on the Pipedrive organization for the company phone, or map a custom contact field by hand.
- LinkedIn Contact Profile URL, LinkedIn Company Profile URL
Pipedrive contacts have no native LinkedIn field.
If you need it. Add a custom Link field on the Pipedrive contact called LinkedIn, then map the contact profile column to it by hand.
- Person Street, Person City, Person State, Person Zip Code, Person Country
Pipedrive contacts have no native address fields. Addresses live on the Pipedrive organization in Pipedrive's data model.
If you need it. Add custom contact fields if you need the address on the contact, or move the data to the matched organization's address after import.
- Website, Industry, SIC Code, NAICS Code, Company Employees, Company Revenue, Company Founded Year, Company Type, Stock Ticker, Company Description
These are company-level data points. Pipedrive contacts have no native fields for them, they belong on the Pipedrive organization.
If you need it. Enrich the matched Pipedrive organization after import using ZoomInfo's company data, or add custom organization fields and update by organization name.
- Company HQ Address, Company HQ City, Company HQ State, Company HQ Zip, Company HQ Country
The company HQ address belongs on the Pipedrive organization, not the contact. Pipedrive contacts have no address fields.
If you need it. Land the company HQ address on the matched Pipedrive organization's Address field after import.
- Company Fax
Pipedrive contacts have no native fax field, and ZoomInfo's Company Fax column is aging and mostly empty.
If you need it. None needed. This column is safe to ignore.
- Last Updated, Source
Pipedrive contacts have no native fields for when ZoomInfo last refreshed the record or the constant Source value. Source is the literal 'ZoomInfo' on every row.
If you need it. Filter your ZoomInfo export on Last Updated before uploading, or add custom contact fields and map them by hand.
Formatting and cleanup
ZoomInfo exports rarely match the format Pipedrive expects. Fix these before you import.
- 1.Combines First Name and Last Name into Pipedrive's single Name field
- 2.Lowercases and trims email addresses
- 3.Standardizes phone numbers to international format (+1, +44, etc.)
- 4.Fills the single phone field with the first available number, checking Direct Phone, then Company HQ Phone
- 5.Matches Company Name to an existing Pipedrive organization, or creates a new one
- 6.Trims whitespace and removes blank rows
Or skip the manual work
Operelio runs this cleanup and mapping for you. Upload your ZoomInfo export and download a clean, import-ready file for Pipedrive.
ZoomInfo to Pipedrive FAQ
How do I export from ZoomInfo?
In ZoomInfo Sales, open Contact Search, apply your filters, select the records you want, and click Export to download a CSV. Upload that CSV to Operelio.
Why does this template combine First Name and Last Name?
Pipedrive contacts use a single Name field, not separate first and last name fields. The template combines the two columns with a space so the contact records look right in Pipedrive.
How does the template handle ZoomInfo's phone columns?
ZoomInfo's Contact Search export ships a Direct Phone column for the person and a Company HQ Phone for the company switchboard. Pipedrive contacts have one phone field, so the template fills it with the first available number, checking Direct Phone first, then Company HQ Phone. Mobile Phone is tier-gated and is not part of this template's expected column set.
What if the contact's company doesn't exist in Pipedrive?
The template creates a new organization in Pipedrive and links the contact to it. If the company already exists, the contact links to the existing org.
Why are most ZoomInfo columns not mapped?
Pipedrive contacts use a leaner field set than HubSpot or Salesforce. LinkedIn URL, address, industry, and company firmographics don't have default Pipedrive contact fields. The Columns we don't use section explains the workaround for each one.
Will this create duplicates?
Pipedrive's import dedupes on Name plus one of email, phone, or organization. A ZoomInfo row matches an existing Pipedrive contact when the name and one of email, phone, or organization align. Rows missing an email after reveal can still match on Name plus phone or organization.
